Installation Note 44716: SASĀ® 9.3 server configuration fails if the SVC is not in the default location
During installation of SAS 9.3, the options for the SAS SVC are not added to a configuration member. To see functions for which the SAS SVC is required, see the section titled "Installing the SAS 9.3 SVC Routine" in Configuration Guide for SAS® 9.3 Foundation for z/OS®.
If you installed the SAS SVC, you must manually add one of the following options to the SITE member of your high-level-qualifier.CONFIG data set:
- If you installed the SVC as a user SVC, use this option:
The value for uuu is the number between 200 and 255 that you chose for the SAS SVC.
- If you installed the SVC as an ESR (Extended Service Routing) SVC, use this option:
The value for nnn is the routing code that you chose.
Note: If you are configuring servers using the SAS® Deployment Wizard and you did not install the SVC as an ESR SVC with the default entry code of 4, do the following:
- Install your software in one invocation of the SAS Deployment Wizard.
- Update the CONFIG members.
- Invoke the SAS Deployment Wizard again to configure your servers.
- If you are configuring a metadata server in a z/OS environment, add the same lines to the CONFIG file associated with your 64-bit SAS installation.
